Although every care is being taken to reduce the risk of cross contamination, this product is made in a kitchen where various nuts, peanuts, sesame, soybeans, dairy, eggs, celery, mustard, fish, crustaceans, molluscs and sulphites are handled.

This is a soft and fluffy semi-sweet type of bread consumed year-round in Greece. Rich and buttery but so light and airy at the same time. Irresistible when dipped in milk, a perfect accompaniment to a cup of coffee/tea, pairs amazingly good in savoury/cheese boards.

Our tsoureki takes more than 24 hour to be ready from start to finish! Time is needed for the double raising to slowly elevate and mature the dough which forms strong gluten bonds. Only then can the dough trap and hold all the air formed during baking. The end result is a soft and fluffy, white crumb, a paper-thin crust and an amazing depth of taste.

Greek mastic or "tears" of Chios is a natural tree resin and a Designated Product of origin (DPO) produced almost exclusively in the island of Chios in the so called mastic villages. It's characteristic taste has a refreshing aroma described as that of pine/cedar taste. Did you know that Chios mastic has been used as a traditional medicine over the last 2.500 years?! 

It's aroma is something really special and adds a unique aromatic depth when paired with mahlep, a fragrant spice derived from the ground seeds of St. Lucie cherry tree.
